Join us at our Celebration of Hope!

Coach Mike Brey, head coach of the University of Notre Dame men's basketball team, has been an unwavering supporter of the American Cancer Society for over 25 years, beginning with his coaching career at the University of Delaware. Since coming to the University of Notre Dame in 2001, Coach Brey has raised over $4 million for Coaches vs. Cancer (CvC)! ALL funds support the life-saving mission of the American Cancer Society. And we are not stopping there.
A Celebration of Hope, hosted by Coach Brey, encompasses the two signature events that Coach and the American Cancer Society host every year in August - Night of the Stars and the Coaches vs. Cancer Golf Classic. In 2021, due to the COVID-19 pandemic, we successfully hosted the 20th anniversary of the Coaches vs. Cancer Golf Classic and Night of the Stars event in a safe and compliant environment and we raised an astounding and record-breaking $414,000! Thank you to everyone who continued the fight against cancer during such an uncertain time.
In 2022, we will kick-off the celebration on Monday, August 1 with the Night of the Stars - an event that honors four extraordinary individuals who are making significant contributions to the fight against cancer. Guests of this event will enjoy heavy appetizers, an auction including one-of-a-kind items
and a program that promises to inspire.
Then, on Tuesday, August 2, we complete our CvC experience with the Coaches vs. Cancer Golf Classic. Our foursomes will have an unparalleled golf experience on the links, including shopping in a player gift suite, lunch, on-course games, culinary treats and premium Under Armour player giveaways.
